The Metropolitan Whisky Lodge

The Septembner Meeting of Yorick, The Metroplolitan Whisky Lodge saw it venture to the Far east and then the rest of the world. Thankfully due to to the skill of out excellent in Lodge Whisky expert all this could be achieved without the members or guests having to set foot outside of Great Queen Street.
The guided whisky sampling at the Septmeber meeting was themed on Japanese and World Whiskies. This meant that we were able to sample a huge range of whiskies from Japan and the Far east, India, Australia, France and Sweden. The tasting notes, complied by our resident expert give a flavour of exciting flavours and diverstiy of the whiskys sampled.

In what is the normal format of a Yorick meeting, the Lodge meeting was held at Freemasons’ Hall Great Queen Street followed by a sit down buffet for dining at Freemanson’s Hall and whisky tastings comprising the festive board.

All present found it another very enjoyable and informative meeting whith a lot of discussion sparked by the guided whisky tasting.
