Burns Night 2024 -Gathering of some of the Metropolitan Clans

Burns Night has a great place in the hearts of Yorick Lodge as it is an opportunity to celebrate that prominent Mason Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796), known as the poet and lyricist of Scotland, and just as importantly to drink whisky.

This year saw Brethren from Yorick – Metropolitan Malt Whisky Lodge attend the Burns Night hosted by the Lodge of St James. The meeting was held at the National Liberal Club, with a full burns dinner, piper and whisky.

This gathering of some of the Metropolitan Clans was an excellent evening enjoyed by all present and marked a significant early high light in the first year of Yorick Metropolitan Malt Whisky Lodges social events.

Yorick Lodge will be continuing the Celtic theme at our next meeting on 19th March 2024 by metophorically crossing the Irish Sea, to taste Irish Whiskies.
